Is it cool to buy with a discount electronics store online?
I was looking at an online store and they sell macbook pros
at about half the price,payments are only allowed with Western
Union or wire transfer.Has anyone made experiences with
star4uelectronics.com?Thx!
in general you may be able to find comments from other customers by googling the website name and look for hits not on that domain.
i would advise against using WU or wire transfer to purchase merchandise. firstly, there is a fee to use WU.
secondly, it is a recipe for good old “take your money and run” scams.
use reputable dealers that have been around awhile. make sure the website has a street address on their website (and check it out to make sure it is a business address, not maybe some house).
i looked at the website, they give a warehouse address in london and another in barcelona.
curiously they only accept orders of at least USD 600.
when there’s any doubt, rather than be sorry just find another dealer. the good deal you thought you were getting could just be a good deal for a scammer.
